Qiddiya Investment Company is excited to invite applications for the position of Director - Design for the MBS Stadium project, a landmark development that aims to set new standards in architectural excellence and innovation. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design vision and execution of one of the most significant sports and entertainment venues in Saudi Arabia, ensuring that it not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our audience and stakeholders.

As the Director of Design, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of architects, engineers, and project managers to create a cohesive design that integrates functionality, sustainability, and visitor experience. Your expertise will guide the project through all phases, from initial concept development through to final execution and completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and articulate the design vision for MBS Stadium, ensuring alignment with Qiddiya’s overall strategic objectives and brand identity.
• Oversee the design process from conceptual design through detailed design development and implementation, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to schedules.
• Collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including governmental bodies, sports organizations, and community representatives, to gather input and ensure the stadium meets diverse needs.
• Direct design workshops and review sessions, encouraging creative thinking and innovative solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards throughout the design and construction phases.
• Evaluate design proposals and modifications for feasibility, cost estimates, and sustainability considerations.
• Lead and mentor a team of design professionals, fostering a collaborative environment built on creativity and excellence.
• Maintain communication with executive leadership regarding project updates, challenges, and solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 12 years of extensive experience in architectural design, with significant focus on large-scale sports and entertainment projects.
• Proven experience in managing complex design projects through all phases of development.
• Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively guide and inspire a diverse design team.
• Exceptional creativity and problem-solving abilities, with a deep understanding of architectural trends and methodologies.
• Proficiency in relevant design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling tools.
• Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.
• A comprehensive understanding of sustainable design principles, building regulations, and safety standards is highly desirable.
