Data will serve as a foundational component to modernize and simplify customer and user engagement across all touchpoints.
AI & Data-Driven Optimization
Ecosystem Scanning: Use AI to analyze the current digital ecosystem (platforms, integrations, workflows) for gaps and inefficiencies.
Customer Behavior Correlation: Apply machine learning to correlate ecosystem performance with customer engagement and buying patterns.
Predictive Recommendations: Generate actionable insights to optimize future architecture and improve customer experience.
Data Modernization: Treat data as a strategic asset—implement modern data platforms to simplify engagement, personalize experiences, and enable real-time decision-making.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Development: Define and communicate the digital engineering and architecture strategy for GE Healthcare eCommerce, aligning with overall business objectives and market trends. Develop and maintain a comprehensive architectural roadmap for digital products and platforms. Leverage AI and advanced analytics to continuously optimize the ecosystem and enhance customer engagement.
Architectural Design & Governance: Lead the design and evolution of scalable, secure, and high-performing digital architectures, encompassing cloud-native solutions, microservices, APIs, data platforms, and user interfaces. Incorporate AI-driven insights and data platforms into architecture to enable predictive personalization, operational efficiency, and scalable innovation. Establish and enforce architectural governance standards, principles, and best practices across development teams.
Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of digital architects and engineers. Foster a culture of unity, technical excellence, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering organization.
Technology Evaluation & Selection: Evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and platforms to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency gains. Make informed recommendations for technology adoption and integration.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product management, cybersecurity, data science, operations, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust and scalable technical solutions.
Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance: Provide technical oversight for critical projects, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, coding standards, and quality objectives. Drive initiatives for performance optimization, reliability, and security.
Vendor Management & Partnership: Manage relationships with key technology vendors and partners, evaluating their offerings and ensuring alignment with our strategic goals.
Budget Management: Contribute to the development and management of the digital engineering budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Job Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience:
7+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and architecture, with a strong focus on digital product development.
Leadership experience managing and mentoring engineering teams.
Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing large-scale, cloud-native digital platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proven track record of architecting and delivering microservices-based applications, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures.
Extensive experience with modern software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps) and tools.
Technical Skills:
Deep expertise in various programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Node.js) and associated frameworks.
Strong understanding of database technologies (relational, NoSQL) and data warehousing concepts.
Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and secure coding principles.
Familiarity with front-end technologies and frameworks
