Director, Enterprise Solutions Delivery

Responsible for the overall strategic direction and scope of IHG’s corporate Software Development and Maintenance efforts and strategy. This role will conduct strategic planning, designing, developing, testing and deploying of large and complex application software systems.

Your Day to Day

  • Leads technical design efforts on significant and highly complex projects to ensure products are developed in accordance with specified technical requirements, schedules and budgets. Communicate and coordinate technical integration infrastructure issues and ensure project results provide a high degree of client satisfaction.
  • Leads a highly skilled technical team focused on Software Development and Maintenance standards and best practice, requirements definition, and implementing changes to processes, methodologies, and frameworks which also includes responsibility for people, budget, and outcomes
  • Provides leadership direction and oversees multiple application development functions and global deployment on complex multi-platform software systems within schedule, cost and quality requirements.
  • Promotes Software Development and Maintenance disciplines through the development of effective standards and governance and monitors methodology, tools, templates, standards, policies and procedures as well as define quality assurance processes and participate in project post mortem’s.
  • Responsible for building relationships and Influences Global Technology senior leaders and business leaders and develops a strong working knowledge of client business functions and objectives to ensure accurate translation of client requirements into technical specifications.
  • Ensure proper support of delivered applications by providing recommendations, high-level planning, and management of the transition process. Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates, and work plans. Oversee reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation, and maintenance of software are prepared and disseminated.
  • Define ways to use technology to reduce costs and improve productivity to include implementation of new software, new modules, application upgrades, customizations, enhancements, re-engineering of systems and business process engineering.
  • Plan, organize, control and lead subordinate functions within established schedules, budgetary and workforce plans; establish goals, performance standards and operating procedures for assigned functions. Participate in creation of department staffing and capital budgets.
  • Direct and oversee the development and deployment of significant and highly complex projects to ensure solutions are developed in accordance with specified technical requirements, schedules, and budgets.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with client management and develop a strong working knowledge of client business functions and objectives. Develop competency and understanding of the client’s business and strategic direction to ensure accurate translation of client requirements into technical specifications.
  • Define ways to use technology to reduce costs and improve productivity to include implementation of new software, new modules, application upgrades, customizations, enhancements, re-engineering of systems and business process engineering.
  • Direct, monitor and mentor on methodology, tools, templates, standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Plan, organize and lead functions within established schedules, budgetary and resource plans; establish goals, performance standards and operating procedures for assigned functions. Participate in creation of department staffing and capital budgets.
  • Coach and develop team members; interview, hire, train employees, plan and assign work, manage performance, and address concerns and resolve matters.
  • Act as an advisor to managers and team members to help meet established schedules and/or resolve technical or operational problems.
  • Directs the identification, definition and analysis of complex problems and provides solutions.
  • Directs and assigns development resources to projects and manage resource demand workload within development team
  • Lead all aspects of vendor management including selection, negotiation, dispute resolution, and long term relationship management.

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor’s degree with progressive work experience in Computer Science/MIS/IT, Business Administration or Engineering or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and work related experience
  • 10+ years progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines, technologies or processes related to the position, as well as, 5+ years of demonstrated experience establishing organizational structure and allocation of duties through management of subordinate teams.
  • Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in designing and developing enterprise grade software.
  • Experience with source control management systems and continuous integration/deployment
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to take highly technical information and present to all levels of management, technical staffs, and business/professional contacts. Strong consulting and interpersonal skills.
  • Change Agent capable of motivating and inspiring a team.
  • Analytical abilities, result-focused, action oriented, and ability to work effectively with customers and IT Leaders.
  • Ability to learn quickly and thoroughly in rapidly changing conditions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading and developing multi-disciplined work teams in the development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale integrated systems across multiple hardware and software platforms
  • Strong technical knowledge of computer languages (including information management systems), applications, operating systems, terminology, communications, networks, and hardware capabilities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of system integration issues between diverse platforms.

Travel - 10%

Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.

The salary range for this role is $140,000 to $160,000. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
