The Director, Federations Program, is responsible for leading the strategic integration, development, and performance oversight of all National Federations (NFs) in alignment with the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee's (SOPC) overarching vision. The role drives the long-term planning and institutional strengthening of NFs, ensuring they are equipped to deliver sustainable athlete development, operational excellence, and international competitiveness. This includes overseeing resource allocation, governance standards, strategic planning frameworks, and federations' compliance. The Director plays a pivotal role in cultivating partnerships, managing high-level stakeholder relationships, and elevating national sports performance in line with SOPC's strategic objectives.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Strategic Alignment and Planning

  • Lead the alignment of National Federations' (NFs) strategies with SOPC's overarchingobjectives, ensuring coherence in direction, goals, and priorities.
  • Guide NFs in developing their strategic plans, ensuring they are in line with the broaderorganizational mission and vision of SOPC.
  • Facilitate collaboration across NFs and SOPC teams to create a unified approach to achievingstrategic goals.

Performance Monitoring and Improvement

  • Regularly monitor and assess the performance of NFs, identifying areas of improvement andproviding actionable insights to enhance effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement performance metrics and benchmarks to track progress, ensuring NFsare meeting key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to NFs to optimize operations and ensure alignmentwith SOPC's strategic goals.

Advisory and Support for NFs

  • Offer expert advice and guidance to National Federations (NFs) on key areas such as strategic planning, governance, compliance, and capacity-building.
  • Support NFs in addressing operational challenges and provide solutions to foster developmentand enhance their organizational capabilities.
  • Assist NFs in enhancing their governance structures and ensure compliance with relevant lawsand SOPC regulations.

Athlete Development and Program Implementation

  • Actively engage with NFs to ensure the successful implementation of athlete developmentprograms, aligning them with strategic objectives.
  • Track the progress and effectiveness of athlete development initiatives across NFs, ensuringthey meet SOPC's standards and goals.
  • Work closely with NFs to address athlete needs and ensure their development programs areeffectively executed.

Stakeholder Management and Relationship Building

  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with NFs, athletes, and other key stakeholders toensure alignment and support for development initiatives.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for NFs, addressing their concerns, needs, and feedbackpromptly.

Continuous Improvement and Reporting

  • Monitor the impact of federations' programs and provide regular reports to senior leadership onprogress, performance, and outcomes.
  • Continuously assess and improve processes related to NF management, ensuring that bestpractices are applied to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within NFs, encouraging innovation and theadoption of best practices in governance, strategic planning, and operational management.
