Meta is seeking a Director of Global Immigration to lead our end-to-end immigration program, ensuring we can attract, relocate, and retain top talent across every market where we operate. This role will own Meta's global immigration compliance program, oversee case filing operations at scale, and manage our external vendor ecosystem. You will partner closely with Recruiting, People Partners, Legal, and business leaders to ensure our immigration infrastructure keeps pace with Meta's ambitious growth and evolving regulatory environment.This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of operational excellence, risk management, and talent strategy. You will build and scale the systems, processes, and partnerships that enable Meta to move fast while meeting our obligations across dozens of jurisdictions worldwide.
- Define and execute Meta's global immigration strategy aligned with workforce planning, talent acquisition, and business expansion priorities

Own and continuously improve our immigration compliance program across all operating jurisdictions, including right-to-work verification, government reporting, and audit readiness

Oversee end-to-end case management operations (e.g., H-1B, L-1, O-1, TN, ICT, Global Mobility visas, permanent residence) ensuring timely, accurate filings at scale

Lead vendor management for external immigration counsel and service providers globally — negotiate contracts, set and enforce SLAs, and drive cost-efficiency and service quality

Monitor global regulatory developments and proactively adapt policies, playbooks, and tooling to mitigate risk and seize opportunities

Partner with Legal, People Partners, and Recruiting to solve complex immigration challenges and provide strategic guidance on workforce mobility

Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing global team of immigration professionals

Serve as a senior escalation point for high-profile, complex, or time-sensitive cases

Drive technology and process innovation to improve employee experience, reduce cycle times, and scale operations

Represent Meta externally with government agencies, industry groups, and immigration policy forums as appropriate

12+ years of progressive experience in global immigration, or a related field with direct responsibility for counseling on work authorization programs

5+ years of people management experience, including leading geographically distributed teams

J.D., immigration certification, or equivalent professional credential (e.g., AILA, CIPD)

Experience designing and operating immigration compliance frameworks across multiple countries (US, EMEA, and APAC required)

Demonstrated expertise in employment-based visa categories, permanent residence pathways, and cross-border mobility in key markets

Track record of managing external law firms, immigration vendors, and third-party service providers at scale

Experience partnering with senior cross-functional stakeholders (Legal, HR, Recruiting, Finance) to align immigration operations with business objectives

Experience navigating regulatory environments across multiple jurisdictions, including ability to anticipate changes and operationalize new requirements quickly, including ability to anticipate changes and operationalize new requirements quickly

Experience supporting large-scale workforce restructuring, M&A integration, or new market entry from an immigration perspective

Experience leading immigration programs at a global technology company or similarly complex, high-volume organization

Familiarity with immigration case management platforms and HR technology systems

Established relationships within the immigration policy and practitioner community

Experience with AI or automation tools to drive efficiency in compliance and case processing workflows

Data-driven approach to measuring program performance, vendor effectiveness, and employee experience
