The Director, Global Logistics is a strategic leadership role responsible for establishing, leading, and continuously improving a center-led global logistics organization. This position will define and implement enterprise-wide logistics strategies, oversee all global transportation operations, and manage key vendor relationships to drive cost efficiency, service excellence, and compliance.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in logistics strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven performance optimization. This leader will guide teams across transportation modes, operations management, freight audit, trade compliance, and export operations, ensuring global standards, scalability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global logistics strategy aligned with enterprise goals and business priorities
  • Establish a center-led logistics organization that drives process standardization, visibility, and continuous improvement
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global team across transportation operations, compliance, and freight audit functions

Operations & Performance Management

  • Oversee end-to-end transportation operations across all modes (air, ocean, ground, parcel)
  • Optimize logistics network design and performance through analytics, KPIs, and benchmarking
  • Drive utilization and enhancement of the Transportation Management System (TMS) to enable visibility, automation, and performance improvement
  • Manage freight audit and payment processes to ensure accuracy, transparency, and fiscal control

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with logistics service providers, carriers, and customs brokers
  • Negotiate global contracts to ensure best-in-class cost, service, and sustainability outcomes
  • Partner with procurement and business units to align vendor performance with enterprise objectives

Trade Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with all international trade laws, export regulations, and customs requirements
  • Implement robust governance and risk management frameworks to safeguard business continuity
  • Partner with legal, finance, and regional teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and corporate standards

Continuous Improvement

  • Leverage technology, analytics, and automation to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making
  • Identify opportunities to reduce logistics cost-to-serve and enhance customer experience
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and operational excellence across

Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in global logistics or transportation management, including leadership of multi-regional teams
  • Proven success leading center-led or global logistics organizations in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Strong expertise in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) — including system implementation, optimization, and integration with broader supply chain systems
  • Deep knowledge of international transportation, customs, and trade compliance regulations
  • Experience negotiating and managing contracts with global logistics service providers
  • Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and change leadership capabilities
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Collaboration First Hybrid Work Arrangements:

This role is hybrid eligible with the requirement to be in office at least three days per week. Colleagues are expected to demonstrate a collaboration first mindset, which is the understanding that teams will work together in-person and colleagues should be flexible to adjust their hybrid days based on business needs. You will have an opportunity to work with your team and leader to determine when you should be in office to drive meaningful connections and to best serve our customers.
