GENERAL FUNCTION
The Director HR Business Partner is responsible for the HR strategy and execution of a large client group across EssilorLuxottica North America. Leads the HR strategic plan development, organizational design, culture & diversity, employee productivity, recruitment/selection, employee development, compensation & benefits, HR systems, and regulatory requirements. Develops and maintains strong internal and external relationships. Identifies new possibilities to take the business forward and create competitive advantage.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partners with leadership at the senior/executive team level to identify & develop strategies, identify gaps & plan processes to directly support business initiatives through people
- Understands the business strategy and ensures the HR programs align to the priorities
- Coaches executives to elevate the level of leadership and management capabilities within the organization
- Leads and administers the annual HR processes for performance, compensation, talent and succession
- Takes a proactive approach to Talent Management & Development; assessing skill gaps, proposing solutions, and creating a career development map
- Acts as liaison with the HR COE teams to coordinate the development of communications, programs, systems, and processes to support the business
- Owns HR employee communications to keep employees informed and engaged
- Responsible for employee relations cases and developing proactive risk mitigation strategies
- Understands and utilizes data in decision making; both financial and HR related information
- Partners with other HR colleagues to coordinate the execution of programs, systems, & processes; including mergers & acquisitions
- Leads hiring strategies in partnership with recruiting organization to acquire & retain top talent
- Works closely with management & employees on employee engagement & culture, including improving work relationships, building morale, increasing productivity & retention
- Ensures organization is designed for optimal business performance & talent development
- Manages vendor relationships, sets up administrative workflows, and oversees accuracy of programs & monitors for strong employee experience
- May lead a team of HR generalists and is responsible for the recruitment, selection, development and engagement of the team.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in human resources, I/O Psychology, or related
- 10+ years progressive HR Business Partner experience
- Proven coaching, consulting and thinking skills
- Understands US employment law
- Sound judgment and decision making
- Ability to build trusting relationships and influence leaders; maintaining confidentiality
- Demonstrates high self and organizational awareness
- Expert project management abilities, with prior experience in Mergers & Acquisitions
- Leads and influences change
- Demonstrates the ability to be objective and display courage in being an employee advocate
- Creates and upholds a standard of creating an inclusive culture; empowers people
- Multi-tasks in a fast-faced & ambiguous environment
- Microsoft office including excel, powerpoint, outlook, word
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s in human resources or related
- SPHR
- 2+ years with Executive Level exposure & support
- Experience with an IT organization
Pay Range: 172,606.80 - 240,071.60
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
