ABOUT THE ROLE

The Director, Investor Relations is the central point of contact for current and prospective investors, responsible for coordinating fundraising efforts, managing investor communications, and executing fund launches and events.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Fundraising & Capital Formation

  • Coordinate all fundraising activities across private equity funds and co-investment vehicles.
  • Prepare investor pitch materials, manage data rooms, and respond to due diligence requests.
  • Track investor pipeline and engagement using CRM tools.

Investor Communications

  • Serve as the primary liaison for LPs, ensuring timely and transparent communication.
  • Organize investor calls, quarterly updates, and annual meetings.
  • Draft and distribute investor letters, fund updates, and performance reports in collaboration with investment and finance teams.

Fund Launches & Marketing

  • Manage fund launch logistics, including documentation, marketing collateral, and roadshow coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and marketing guidelines.
  • Partner with internal marketing team to enhance brand visibility.
  • Complete DDQs including liaising with various internal stakeholders
  • Maintain fund information on sites such as Prequin and Pitchbook

Event & Conference Management

  • Plan and execute investor events, conferences, and networking engagements.
  • Represent the firm at industry events and maintain a strong presence in the energy and private equity communities.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with investment professionals to translate complex strategies into compelling investor narratives.
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Back-up for Director, Distributions Operations & Client Services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Minimum Education Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or other related fields.

Licenses/Certifications Required

  • CAIA preferred
  • CFA preferred

Minimum Specific Experience Required

  • 7+ years of experience in investor relations, capital raising, or institutional sales within private equity or alternative investments 15+ years of experience in financial services with a strong background in alternatives.
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsorship is available.
