Director, Investor Relations | Hedge Fund

Overview

We are a leading, multi-strategy hedge fund based in New York seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Investor Relations to join our growing team. This individual will play a critical role in managing and expanding the firm’s global investor base, shaping communication strategy, and serving as a key liaison between the investment team and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all investor relations activities, including investor communications, reporting, and relationship management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for existing and prospective investors, including institutions, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals
• Develop and execute capital raising strategies in partnership with senior leadership
• Coordinate and oversee the preparation of marketing materials, pitch books, DDQs, and performance reports
• Translate complex investment strategies and performance into clear, compelling messaging
• Organize and participate in investor meetings, roadshows, and industry conferences
• Maintain CRM systems and ensure accurate tracking of investor interactions and pipeline
• Collaborate closely with portfolio managers, compliance, and operations teams to ensure consistent and accurate messaging
• Monitor industry trends and competitor positioning to inform strategic outreach

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in investor relations, capital raising, or institutional sales within hedge funds or alternative asset management
• Strong understanding of hedge fund strategies, financial markets, and portfolio analytics
• Proven track record of successful fundraising and investor relationship management
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and client service orientation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, CFA) preferred
