A Brief Overview:
As the Director of Patient Care will serve as a vital member of our executive team, responsible for overseeing and enhancing the delivery of high-quality patient care services within Evanston Hospital. This role is integral to ensuring that our patients receive the best care possible while maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
What you will do:
Provide visionary leadership to the patient care services department, setting strategic goals and objectives aligned with the hospital's mission and vision.
Collaborate with hospital leadership to drive patient care initiatives and quality improvement programs.
Oversee the daily operations of patient care services, including medical-surgical units, ICU, emergency department, and other clinical areas.
Monitor and evaluate patient care programs to ensure the highest standards of care and patient safety.
Ensure the hospital remains in compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation requirements (e.g., Joint Commission).
Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify and address compliance issues.
Implement and maintain robust quality assurance programs, promoting a culture of continuous improvement in patient care.
Analyze patient care data and outcomes to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based practices.
Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of dedicated healthcare professionals, including nurses and support staff.
Foster professional growth, education, and certification among staff members.
Collaborate with patient experience teams to enhance patient satisfaction, communication, and engagement.
Address patient concerns and feedback promptly and effectively
Efficiently manage the allocation of resources, including budget, staffing, and equipment, to ensure optimal patient care services.
Implement cost-effective strategies without compromising quality.
Utilize data analytics to assess performance metrics, track key performance indicators, and make data-driven decisions.
What you will need:
Education: Graduate of a state approved school of nursing. Required: BSN with Master's degree in Nursing, MBA or another health care discipline.
Extensive healthcare leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior management role within a hospital setting.
Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Current Illinois licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Required
