Director of Accounts Receivable

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounts Receivable to oversee the revenue cycle and billing operations for our skilled nursing facilities. This role is responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring accurate billing and collections, and optimizing reimbursement from Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Pay sources.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) billing, revenue cycle management, and accounts receivable oversight. Experience with Pennsylvania Medicaid billing is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounts receivable and billing operations for skilled nursing facilities.

• Monitor AR aging reports and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding claims.

• Manage billing and collections for Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Pay residents.

• Ensure claims are submitted accurately and in compliance with payer requirements.

• Identify and resolve billing issues, denials, and reimbursement delays.

• Oversee Medicaid pending accounts and ensure timely eligibility conversion.

• Develop and implement best practices to improve cash collections and reduce AR aging.

• Lead and support the billing and AR team.

• Work closely with admissions, facility leadership, and finance to ensure proper payer setup and documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) billing or accounts receivable

• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Pay billing

• Experience managing AR aging and collections

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Experience with PA Medicaid billing is a plus

• Experience with SNF billing systems such as PointClickCare, MatrixCare, or similar platforms is preferred
