Position Summary
The Director of Admissions and Marketing is a spiritually mature, relational, and strategic leader responsible for achieving Denton Calvary Academy’s enrollment and retention goals. This role shapes the first impression families have of DCA—building relationships, strengthening brand presence, and communicating the school’s mission in compelling ways. The director collaborates closely with the Head of School and leadership team to ensure growth strategies align with the Academy’s mission and long-term vision.
Essential Responsibilities
- Admissions and enrollment management
- Develop, implement, and manage the student recruitment and retention plan, ensuring all enrollment goals are met or exceeded.
- Serve as the main point of contact for prospective families, managing inquiries and guiding them through the entire admissions process.
- Coordinate and oversee all admissions events, such as parent information meetings, open houses, campus tours, and student shadow days.
- Manage the re-enrollment process for current students, developing strategies to retain existing families.
- Develop and manage the admissions budget, tracking enrollment data, and providing regular reports to the Head of School.
- Collaborate with the Finance Office on tuition assistance and payment plan policies to ensure alignment with enrollment goals.
- Monitor enrollment funnel metrics (inquiries, campus visits, applications, conversions, retention) and present monthly reports to the Head of School and Board.
- Chair the Enrollment Committee and collaborate with divisional principals to ensure smooth onboarding of new families.
Marketing and Communications
- Create and execute a strategic marketing plan that promotes the school's brand and mission to external audiences.
- Oversee all school external communications, including the school's website, social media channels, newsletters, and promotional materials.
- Create and implement effective web-based marketing strategies, including social media and search engine optimization (SEO).
- Lead brand management efforts, ensuring consistent messaging and visual standards across all school collateral.
- Represent the school at community events to build brand awareness and foster relationships with local churches and other educational organizations.
- Develop and oversee storytelling initiatives that highlight DCA’s mission, student achievements, and alumni success.
- Partner with faculty and staff to ensure internal communication aligns with external messaging.
- Oversee photography, video, and graphic design standards for all promotional materials.
Spiritual Leadership
- Act as a Christ-centered role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others.
- Have a deep understanding of and commitment to the integration of faith and learning.
- Be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and an active member of a local evangelical church that aligns with the school's statement of faith.
- Support the spiritual development of students and families by engaging in conversations about faith.
Qualifications
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience (3–5 years minimum) in admissions, marketing, or enrollment management, preferably within a private Christian school.
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) and admissions software (e.g., FACTS/RenWeb) is a plus.
- Experience leading teams or managing volunteers preferred.
- Demonstrated success in growing enrollment or executing marketing campaigns with measurable outcomes.

- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

- Proficiency with modern technology, including Microsoft Office, G Suite, and digital marketing platforms.
