Director of Advisory

The Egis ‘Advisory’ team has over 600 consultants (engineers, planners, architects, lawyers, economists, communication and consultation specialists) in five different regions / countries, providing expert advice in our 3 key pillars: Strategic Advisory, Consulting, and Asset Management.

The Middle East is a key region within the group, and specifically for the ‘Advisory’ service line. We currently have a team of 20 advisors working across the region – based in KSA and UAE, and are looking to grow this over the next five yeras ; our key priorities for 2026-2031 are based on:

• Focus development on priority countries (KSA, UAE, Qatar)
• Expand in the urban sector (strategic advisory positioning)
• Expand in the sport sector (strategic advisory positioning)
• Expand in the building sector (full life cycle offer)
• Consolidate academy activity

As Director of Advisory for MESA, you will be responsible for leading the activities of our service line in the region. You will develop and implement the Advisory strategy, with full P&L (Profit and Loss) responsibility, including order intake targets and project profitability.

Your main responsibilities:

Strategy and Business Development

• Develop and implement strategic directions in MESA.
• Oversee commercial action plans and the application of the Group’s commercial processes.
• Support the business development and participate in bid reviews or client meetings.

Management

• Define and implement the organization of the Service Line in MESA.
• Lead, motivate, and unite the team in line with Egis values.
• Coordinate the various activities to be managed and ensure directives are communicated to all staff.

Delivery and Expertise

• Oversee the development of action plans to improve production quality and client satisfaction.
• Define actions to ensure team upskilling and promote innovation.

Human Resources

• Identify resource needs and contribute to the recruitment plan.
• Develop strategies to attract, engage, and retain top talent.

Performance and Finance

• Prepare budget and forecast exercises with financial controllers.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for the SL in MESA and propose action plans for improvement.

Marketing, Communication, Publication, and Influence

• Contribute to the development and implementation of communication plans to promote and strengthen the SL’s image.

• Technical and commercial knowledge of advisory/consulting activities.
• Experience in P&L management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong business management skills, with the ability to prepare and implement business plans to support growth.
• Strong business development skills with proven experience developing new business activities
• Skills in strategic planning and project execution.
• Negotiation, change management, and public relations skills.
• Ability to interact with officials at all levels of government and with clients.
• Experience in MESA is advantageous but not required
• Over 10 years of experience in the field.
• Relevant degree qualified or equivalent.
