About the Position
The Director of Civil Rights and Title IX Coordinator (DCRC) will have primary responsibility for leading the institutional coordination of educational programs and policies to prevent inequity in education and the College workplace, including identity-based discrimination and prevention of sexual assault, sexual misconduct, relationship violence, and sexual harassment. This position is charged with managing the development and implementation of College policies and practices to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements related to equity and non-discrimination. The work of the DCRC is governed by College policies that are aligned with federal legislation, including Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Initiatives and Compliance, the DCRC is expected to collaborate with faculty, administrators, coaches, students, senior leadership, and community partners to develop and implement educational programming and policies that positively impact the Haverford College community.
