The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express products and services through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. We are focused on developing forward thinking ideas and work across channels, end-to-end experiences in digital and beyond.
The Director of Creative Strategy will play a pivotal role in driving creative innovation for our in-house agency. This leader will uncover actionable insights, define creative territories, and craft strategies that enable American Express to connect meaningfully with Card Members and prospects. They will lead a team of creative strategists to deliver strategic work that fuels cutting-edge digital campaigns and connected customer experiences, specifically across American Express consumer products, benefits, and services.
The ideal candidate will bring a relentless curiosity for creative, cultural, and digital trends, along with a drive to uncover opportunities in emerging platforms. They will have the unique ability to analyze and transform data and insights into actionable creative briefs that lead to best-in-class creative solutions for our marketing partners.

Qualifications:
10+ years of experience at a full-service digital creative agency (or equivalent).
4+ years of experience directly managing a team and leading creative strategy for complex, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
Skilled at leading and inspiring cross-functional teams, cultivating collaboration, and encouraging courageous creativity.
Proven track record of strategic leadership in digital creative strategy, with expertise in leveraging technology, platforms, and emerging trends
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying and articulating complex concepts and strategies
Ability to excel in dynamic environment, leading many concurrent projects across teams
Understanding of data analysis, SEO, and content management systems enabling connected customer journeys
Advanced proficiency using Microsoft tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
Requirements
Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
