Trucordia is a billion-dollar insurance brokerage looking for a Director of Cyber Security who will own the cyber security strategy and day-to-day execution across a complex, fast-growing, and highly regulated environment. This role will be responsible for reducing organizational risk, strengthening security capabilities, and ensuring security is embedded into technology modernization, business operations, and acquisition integration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Define and execute an enterprise cyber security strategy that supports rapid growth, digital modernization, and regulatory compliance.
• Reduce organizational risk by designing and enforcing pragmatic, scalable security controls across the enterprise.
• Advance identity, endpoint, and data protection programs to strengthen prevention and resilience capabilities.
• Lead security operations including threat monitoring, detection, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Ownership of data partitioning strategy to ensure proper isolation, access controls, and risk reduction across systems.
• Provide clear, executive-level insight into security incidents, risk exposure, and remediation progress.
• Embed security into cloud adoption, application modernization, and data initiatives through close partnership with Technology and Business leaders.
• Oversee third-party and supplier security risk, including due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and post-close integrations.
• Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing cyber security organization and security-first culture.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive cyber security experience, including senior leadership in an enterprise environment.
• Experience leading cyber security and risk initiatives in highly regulated environments with evolving compliance and data protection requirements.
• Demonstrated experience securing cloud, and legacy environments during periods of transformation.
• Proven success leading incident response, security operations, and enterprise risk reduction initiatives.
• Ability to communicate complex security concepts to executives and influence business outcomes
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP).
• Strategic, business-oriented mindset with a balance of risk management and operational execution.
