The
Director of Data Science and Analytics
is responsible for leading the data science and analytics functions. This role focuses on leveraging advanced analytics and econometric models to develop public policy solutions, contribute to official labor statistics, and generate business use cases that drive impactful, data-informed decisions. With a strong foundation in quantitative analysis and econometrics, the Director will play a key role in advancing data-driven research, supporting public policymaking, and exploring labor economics insights to address pressing workforce challenges.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for data science and analytics initiatives, aligning with organizational goals and contributing to public policymaking.

Lead efforts in quantitative analysis and econometric modeling to provide insights into labor economics and inform solutions based on public policy.

Oversee the development and enhancement of a public labor statistics data portal, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and relevance of data for external stakeholders.

Identify and prioritize business use cases that can be addressed through data science and analytics, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive implementation.

Conduct research on labor market trends and public policy solutions, assessing the potential impact of proposed policies on workforce dynamics and social welfare.

Engage with government agencies, policy makers, and stakeholders to ensure data science initiatives align with national labor policies and address key labor market challenges.

Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, analysts, and researchers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and analytical excellence.

Effectively communicate research findings, analytical insights, and data-driven recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Master’s degree in Economics, Econometrics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.

12+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. A strong background in econometrics, quantitative analysis, and labor economics is highly desirable
