Job Summary

  • Director of Development plays an important role in leading the expansion in Middle East and will be integral to the implementation of the development strategy for the property’s expansion in Middle East. Your focus will be sourcing and signing hotel management opportunities for the brand, and/or development to be operated under management or franchise or Third-Party Management.
  • General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for facilitating expansion in new markets (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances etc.) as well as continued expansion among existing clients (hotel owners).
  • Contacting potential organization, clients or individual to find new business opportunities.
  • Represents the brand with clients, investors, or business partners and increase the business’s visibility and reputation.
  • Maintain good working relationships with developers in hospitality industry, initial developer and market research.
  • Developing and managing strategic partnership to grow business. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of brand’s services and products.
  • Manage investor relationships to ensure ongoing mutual benefit.
  • Prepare, negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with strategic objectives, internal policies and legal obligations.
  • Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community
  • Get into the details of all projects to ensure compliance with legal, brand standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Interface with hotel brand companies, managers, etc. including negotiations of key business terms and related agreements.

Who is right for the job?

  • Extensive experience in knowing Hotel owners and possible development opportunities with key contacts in the region.
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development with strong business acumen.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, financial management and presentation skills.
  • You must have excellent knowledge of the hotel markets in Europe, GCC and Africa and be well linked to decision makers in these regions, with profound knowledge in Management contract negotiations, feasibility studies and market research.
  • Includes extensive travelling, industry associations, hotel acquisition, contract signing, hotel leads, or any situation that improves brand’s expansion and visibility.
