Our client Mna Digital is looking for a Director of Digital Media Strategy in Lahore

We're building the next generation of a digital-first news organization — one that breaks stories, sets the agenda, and reaches audiences wherever they are. We're looking for a Head of Digital to lead the charge.

This isn't a back-seat strategy role. You'll own the digital newsroom end-to-end: editorial direction, audience growth, product, video, social, and data. You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with senior editors and reporters to turn ambitious journalism into the most-read, most-watched, most-shared coverage in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Set the digital editorial vision. Define what our journalism looks, sounds, and feels like online — across web, app, newsletters, video, podcasts, and social platforms.
  • Lead the digital newsroom. Manage editors, producers, social leads, SEO specialists, and audience editors. Hire, coach, and build a team people want to work on.
  • Own audience growth. Drive sustained growth in unique users, sessions, subscribers, and platform reach through smart distribution, SEO, and product decisions.
  • Run the daily news operation. Chair the digital news meeting, call the big stories, and make confident editorial calls under deadline pressure.
  • Translate data into action. Use analytics (GA4, Chartbeat, Parse.ly, social insights) to shape coverage decisions, story formats, and publishing rhythms — without losing editorial soul.
  • Lead on innovation. Champion experimentation in formats — vertical video, explainer journalism, live blogs, interactives, AI-assisted workflows, and emerging platforms.
  • Partner across the business. Work closely with product, tech, commercial, and marketing teams on CMS development, monetization, and brand campaigns.
  • Uphold the standards. Ensure every piece of digital output meets the highest bar for accuracy, ethics, fairness, and editorial independence.
