SUMMARY:
The E-Commerce Director is responsible for building, growing, and leading GradeEight's e-commerce initiatives. You are responsible for decision-making in terms of commercialization for any and all internet-facilitated sales across all current and future business platforms, social media accounts, and online advertising. You will develop and maintain comprehensive online catalogs, B2B sites for all divisions, CMI for applicable divisions, and a direct-to-consumer B2C brand. You are responsible for integrating our drop ship / ship from vendor program (formerly known as “VSN”) into our website catalog. In this position, you are measured by results in the form of sales growth and profitability of those sales.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Four-year degree and five years of marketing/e-commerce experience or equivalent work experience

Necessary web design skills. Must be comfortable editing HTML, JavaScript

Online Advertising - experience working with Google / Facebook / LinkedIn Ads / Google Analytics

Good UX design skills. You know what makes for a great user experience

Up to date on the most current and best SEO practices

Ability to write engaging copy for newsletters, product descriptions, and landing pages

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of innovative and data-driven success in building online sales

Knowledge of the digital ecosystem and how eCommerce, web, mobile, social, search, and channels work together to optimize behavior and acquisition

Ability to manage others and organize project teams to meet all deadlines.

Experience in Shopify Plus is a plus

Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft environments
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Developing and integrating an E-Commerce plan supporting our Winzer & FastServ Supply and OneSource Supply brand objectives with a strong focus on targeted data-driven content and campaigns.

The E-commerce Director will keep abreast of new developments in the e-marketing world. They will also research the company's core demographics and how to best reach them in order to maximize search engine traffic and the effect of the company's targeted ad buys

Primary internal advocate for E-Commerce, implementing process changes designed to enable the scaling of E-Commerce business while collaborating with all facets of the company to promote efficiencies and delivery excellence.

Define/optimize key sales segments, perform/leverage insights, and drive E-Commerce programs (SEO, Online Marketing) to target specific customer segments and highlight critical products through targeted advertising and promotion.

Manage the E-Commerce operation and processes, including but not limited to the following: content production/management, customer experience, customer service, and vendor management.

Work in conjunction with IT to help coordinate the required programming to support both web and system integrations.

Guide business units in the identification, development, and evolution of e-commerce functional and technical requirements

Influence, establish, monitor, and report on progress toward best practices across all e-commerce assets.

Works with the marketing department on the development of Winzer's Web (application) package (visuals, user tools, and user experience)

Coordinate, communicate, and align expectations with internal and external developers.

Develops online strategy and coordinates effort across all IT functions to support the company's business strategy – Marketing, Policies, objectives

Partner with product owners to provide the most accurate and complete product information, data, and cross-references

Perform ongoing keyword research, including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities.

Research and analyze competitor keywords, links, and SEM initiatives

Work with internal functional areas to implement conversion optimization testing and prioritize iterative improvements to our e-commerce site to improve on-page conversion rates and increase the quality of leads

Understand core metrics traffic and conversion analysis. Monitor results and Improve conversion

Manage all aspects of website merchandising, including site merchandising, promotion planning, online catalog changes, product setup, etc.
