Director of Emergency Services

Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services for a permanent leadership opportunity in Marion, North Carolina.

The Director of Emergency Services is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care through oversight of emergency department operations, staffing, forecasting, planning, and budget monitoring. This leader fosters a culture of accountability and collaboration while supporting the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with facility objectives.

This role provides executive-level oversight of a busy Emergency Department within a community hospital setting that, while not designated as a trauma center, manages high-acuity patient populations. The Director will work closely with nursing leadership, Clinical Nurse Coordinators, and the Chief Nursing Officer to maintain strong clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, and team engagement.

This is a full-time, day-shift leadership role with no weekends required. Compensation is salaried and based on experience, with eligibility for incentive bonus and relocation assistance on a case-by-case basis.

Pay Type: Salary

Minimum: $78,894

Maximum: $140,000

Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree required or approved education plan
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• Master’s Degree preferred

Licensure:

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice or holds an active compact license

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of applicable leadership experience required
• 3+ years of applicable leadership experience preferred
• Will consider candidates with very recent Emergency Department Manager experience
• Resume must clearly demonstrate leadership accomplishments and measurable performance metrics
