Heartline Staffing, Strategic Talent Partners with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services RN to lead a high-performing Emergency Department in San Antonio, Texas.

The Director of Emergency Services ensures high-quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall function and staffing of the Emergency Department. This role is responsible for forecasting, planning, budget monitoring, and operational leadership while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

The Director supports the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with facility objectives and leads initiatives that drive quality outcomes, patient safety, and staff engagement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide executive leadership for Emergency Services operations
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, patient flow, and throughput
• Forecast volume, plan resources, and manage departmental budgets
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
• Support quality initiatives with strong outcomes in sepsis and chest pain care
• Partner with hospital leadership to drive operational and clinical excellence

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $145,000 – $160,000 (based on years of experience)
• Incentive Bonus: 17.5% – 26.25%
• Sign-On Bonus: Case by case
• Relocation Assistance: Case by case
• Schedule: Full-time, Days

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
• Master’s Degree preferred
• Minimum of 1 year applicable leadership experience required
• 3+ years applicable leadership experience preferred
• Active RN license required
