Medtronic is seeking a Director of Enterprise Risk Management to lead Medtronic’s Enterprise Risk Management function. In this high-impact role, you will drive a real-time, data-driven view of enterprise risk, leading global strategic initiatives that reimagine how risk insights are embedded into decision-making across business units and corporate functions to generate measurable business value and resilience. This role requires a forward-thinking leader who can elevate risk management from a compliance activity to a strategic enabler of innovation and long-term performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Drive enterprise-wide adoption of a data-driven Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program that strengthens risk intelligence and supports strategic decision-making across Medtronic.
Develop and deliver executive-level reporting and presentations for senior leadership, members of the Medtronic Executive Committee and the Board of Directors on a quarterly cadence, clearly articulating emerging risk exposure, trends, and mitigation strategies.
Integrate risk across Governance, Risk, and Compliance functions, establishing a unified enterprise risk view with clear prioritization, accountability, and alignment to corporate objectives.
Lead dynamic enterprise risk assessments and continuous monitoring processes, leveraging analytics to provide real-time visibility into top and emerging risks.
Champion a strong global risk culture, partnering with business and functional leaders to enhance risk-based decision-making and facilitate candid executive dialogue on complex, high-impact risks.
Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree AND a minimum of 10 years of relevant risk management experience and 7+ years of managerial experience, OR advanced degree with 8 years of relevant risk management experience and 7+ years of managerial experience. (program and/or people management experience accepted)
Nice to Have: Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to present analytics and strategy to executive audiences.
Demonstrated experience designing and leading an enterprise-wide ERM program, including board-level reporting and executive engagement.
Deep knowledge of risk frameworks and regulatory environments (e.g., COSO ERM, SOX, global regulatory requirements), with experience integrating Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) processes.
Mindset of continuous process improvement, innovation, and willingness to challenge the status quo.
