Job Summary:


The Director of Entertainment Content Strategy is responsible for the valuation and analytical strategy underpinning our content acquisition, original productions and content distribution related decisions. The role works cross-functionally to translate vast amounts of data into actionable financial and strategic decisions related to the production and acquisition of content. The role partners closely with the senior leadership, who depends heavily on these strategicinsights to guide critical business decisions across the company.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


  • Analyze the performance of all Entertainment Content related investments for beIN Media Group at each Opco (currently Turkey & MENA), define resource allocation strategies, and monitor relevant KPI’s.
  • Provide financial oversight and identify opportunities to maximise ROI on Entertainment Content investments.
  • Develop and oversee the overall content strategy for each of the BMG platforms in coordination with Managing Directors & responsible content leads.
  • Evaluate underperforming key assets on platforms and provide actionable insights to support the Management, Acquisition and Production teams in shifting the resource allocation.
  • Communicate insights generated from viewership and related revenue lines to Top Management and platform Executives to support editorial direction.
  • Collaborate with the content insights teams to evaluate potential new assets for licensing and production.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of content strategies.
  • Manage the team’s effort to adapt content according to regional cultural preferences and fit.
  • Ensure OTT platform’s acquisition and production pipeline are optimized to attract the target subscriber base.
  • Partner closely with the team to identify and prioritise content acquisition and production opportunities.


Knowledge:

  • Media and content knowledge (international, Turkish and Arabic) besides extensive analytical and financial background for content valuation (licensing, commissioning, and production) is required
  • Strong knowledge of the television market and digital-distribution landscape.
  • Command of market and competitive analysis; ability to strategically assess opportunities and make data-driven decisions


Minimum Language Level:

  • Fluent English in a business setting.
  • Turkish or Arabic is a plus.
