Compensation & Incentives
Base Salary Range: $107,723 – $160,232 (experience-based)
Sign-On Bonus: Case-by-case

Role Overview
The Director of Facilities Management provides strategic and operational leadership for plant operations within a large acute care hospital. This role ensures the safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of all physical plant systems, including maintenance, utilities, life safety, and capital project execution. The Director is a key partner in supporting uninterrupted clinical operations, regulatory readiness, and long-term infrastructure planning.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all facility and plant operations functions, including maintenance, utilities, and life safety systems.
Oversee preventive maintenance programs to ensure operational reliability and regulatory compliance.
Direct and manage capital construction and renovation projects from planning through execution.
Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, NFPA, OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory requirements.
Develop and manage departmental budgets, vendor relationships, and resource allocation.
Provide leadership and oversight for engineering, maintenance, and facilities staff.
Implement performance improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
Serve as a key partner to hospital leadership on infrastructure planning and emergency preparedness.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of healthcare facilities management experience in an acute care hospital
5+ years of progressive leadership experience managing facilities or plant operations teams
Experience supporting a large acute care facility
Strong knowledge of hospital building systems, utilities, and life safety infrastructure
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager) preferred
ASHE membership preferred (required within the first year of hire)
Proven success leading capital projects and regulatory readiness initiatives
