Summary: Directs financial activities of Rolling Hills Casino Resort by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers and supervisors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Develops and reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine departmental and Casino progress toward stated goals and objectives.
Analyzes all departments’ financial reports and adjusts implement efficiencies.
Directs Accounting, Cage, and Drop Count through their respective managers/supervisors.
Maintains internal accounting controls.
Reviews reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of revenue, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
Ensures gaming and non-gaming revenue audits are properly verified and secured, and all company funds are reconciled and accounted for.
Manages cash flow to maintain necessary capital to fund company expenditures.
Defines and directs special projects as needed.
Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
Must be proactive in developing innovative ideas to facilitate the continual delivery of exceptional quality products and profit contributions to the casino.
Knowledge of business and management principals involved in strategic planning, resources allocation, leadership techniques, production methods and coordination of people and resources.
Knowledge of inventory control systems and general accounting standards.
Familiar with computer-based POS systems and Windows based environment.
Prepares reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and the financial position in areas of revenue, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
Directs preparation of budgets and monitors actual performance as a measure of cost control.
Ensures gaming and non-gaming revenue audits are properly verified and secured, and all company funds are reconciled and accounted for.
Manages cash flow to maintain necessary capital to fund company expenditures.
Lead the annual operating and capital budget process
Participates in formulating and administering department policies and developing long-range goals and objectives.
Establishes forms of communication that is effective and will reach all levels of the organization.
Responsible for oversight of the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees; planning, assigning, and
directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Follows established company and departmental standards for personal appearance and behavior.

Requirements
Minimum 21 years of age.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directs the activities of the Controller, Managers, and a total of approximately 60-70 employees in the Accounting, Cage and Drop Count departments. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or other related field, five years of casino accounting experience and three years managerial experience within a casino finance department, with a preference to tribal gaming. Master’s Degree or CPA preferred. Must be knowledgeable of 24/7 gaming operation, handling large sums of money, accounting practices, budget process, automated accounting, and internal control systems.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
