Job Description


THE TEAM
As part of the Residential Operations team, this role is responsible for leading the financial operations and long-term financial stewardship of Rosewood’s luxury residential environment, ensuring strong financial performance, operational discipline, compliance, and owner confidence across the residential community.

The Finance function plays a critical role in supporting the residential operation through strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business partnership. This role works closely with Residential Operations, HOA leadership, Corporate Finance, Owners, and operational departments to support financial sustainability, service excellence, and long-term asset value.

This role oversees the residential financial operation, ensuring financial practices, controls, and reporting processes align with Rosewood standards while supporting a highly personalized luxury residential experience for homeowners and residents.

YOUR ROLE
The Director of Finance acts as a steward of the residential financial operation, ensuring strong financial governance, operational transparency, and disciplined business practices across the property.

This role provides strategic and operational financial leadership across all aspects of the residential operation, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, HOA financial oversight, reserve planning, compliance, operational analysis, and business planning. The role partners closely with Residential Operations and department leaders to support financial performance, operational decision-making, and long-term planning initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, and service excellence expected within a luxury residential environment.

The Director of Finance supports the development of financial strategies, operational efficiencies, and reporting structures that strengthen owner confidence, protect the integrity of the asset, and support the long-term success of the residential community.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

Financial Leadership & Operations
Oversees the day-to-day financial operation of the residential property, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, operational discipline, and alignment with Rosewood standards.

Leads the annual budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and month-end reporting processes across the residential operation and HOA environment where applicable.
Monitors financial performance, operational costs, reserve planning, and business trends to identify risks, opportunities, efficiencies, and areas for improvement.

Ensures appropriate financial controls, policies, audit practices, and governance processes are maintained across the operation.

Supports cash flow management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, and financial reconciliation processes while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Residential & HOA Partnership
Partners closely with Residential Operations, HOA leadership, ownership representatives, and department leaders to support operational planning and long-term financial sustainability.

Supports HOA budgeting, reserve studies, residential operating assumptions, and service charge structures where applicable.

Provides financial analysis and recommendations that support informed operational and business decisions across the residential community.

Builds strong relationships with homeowners, residents, ownership representatives, consultants, and vendors while maintaining a highly professional, collaborative, and service-oriented approach.

Business Partnership & Strategic Planning
Provides strategic financial insight and operational analysis to support business planning, operational performance, and long-term asset stewardship.

Supports pre-opening, stabilization, transition, and operational improvement initiatives where applicable.

Develops reporting tools, financial models, and operational analyses that enhance visibility, accountability, and decision-making across the operation.

Partners with operational leaders to identify opportunities that improve efficiency, strengthen financial performance, and support the homeowner and resident experience.
People Leadership.

Leads and develops the Finance team through coaching, mentorship, performance management, and ongoing operational support while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture aligned with Rosewood values.

Champions accountability, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and strong financial stewardship across the residential operation.

Acts as a Brand Ambassador at all times and models the Company’s culture, vision, mission, and core values.

Skills and Experience
  • Significant progressive finance and accounting experience within luxury hospitality, branded residences, residential operations, or mixed-use environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting HOA financial operations, reserve planning, budgeting, and residential operating structures preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and operational finance practices.
  • Experience managing financial operations within luxury residential or service-driven environments beneficial.
  • Strong commercial and operational business acumen with the ability to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Experience leading month-end close, audit processes, financial controls, and compliance initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents, homeowners, ownership groups, and associates.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and a highly service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving operational environment.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience developing and supporting teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • CPA, MBA, or related professional qualification preferred.
