Core Job Responsibilities
- Concentrate efforts in strategy and overseeing all aspects of Group Sales
- Manage the hotel's in-house group sales team
- Maintain good working relationship with meeting, event and conference planners + bookers
- Strong analytical skillset including ability to produce necessary reporting and analyze such information to turn data into strategy for these key segments
- Prepare proposals/contracts and respond to RFP's in a timely fashion
- Conduct sales visits, site inspections and outside sales calls
- Develop new markets and sources of business
- Travel & attend tradeshows/sales trips both locally and beyond + manage group travel budget
- Lead & Participate in daily business review meeting and other hotel meetings as appropriate
- Generate ideas for marketing of product
- Take up special assignments as assigned by hotel leadership
- Maintain effective communication channel with Revenue Team, Reservations Manager and Meetings & Events team, and other department heads throughout the hotel
- Follow up with clients and coordinate with internal operation departments
- Attend and contribute to sales meetings and revenue meeting
- Run weekly group pace meeting + participate actively in weekly cutoff / pickup meeting
- Regular update on competitors and market intelligence
- Regular update on Trade shows

- Always looking out for the best interest of the hotel, guests, staff, and ownership
Requirements:
Qualifications
- Four year college degree is required
- At least Five years of progressive Sales experience in a luxury hotel
- Experience working with high level clientele
- Prior management experience is strongly preferred
- Prior group sales experience
- Thorough knowledge of sales operations, product knowledge and competition
- Utilize software programs such as MS Word, Excel, Publisher, Power Point and/ or Outlook Express
- Expertise in using Hotelligence, Datavision, Synxis and Salesforce is preferred
- Well organized and a good planner
- Ability to clearly communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
- Self-motivated, detail oriented and being proactive is required
- Proven track record of success in achievement of past sales goals
Annual Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000, Bonus Eligible
Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000
