Job Summary

PocketRN is seeking a Director of Healthcare Compliance to support and strengthen our healthcare compliance program. This role will be responsible for leading PocketRN’s enterprise-wide compliance program, including:

  • Managing the full scope of compliance activities across the company;

  • Developing policies, procedures, and training programs;

  • Coordinating robust oversight of activities involving patients, healthcare professionals (HCPs), and business partners; and

  • Supporting the company-wide commitment to high-quality and compliant business practices

This leader will play a critical role in identifying, mitigating, and managing compliance risks across the organization. The primary domain focus of the role is supporting the Commercial Team, while working closely with other compliance subject-matter experts (e.g. clinical, quality, data, other) to ensure all business practices align with applicable legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of PocketRN’s enterprise-wide compliance program

  • Establish and maintain compliance policies, procedures, and governance structures aligned with healthcare laws and industry standards

  • Serve as a primary compliance partner to the Commercial Team, providing timely guidance on policies, procedures, and risk-related questions

  • Provide enterprise-level oversight of activities involving patients, HCPs, and third-party partners to ensure appropriate risk mitigation and controls

  • Lead the Promotional Review Process to ensure compliant marketing and communications practices

  • Conduct compliance risk assessments and support audits and investigations; develop and monitor corrective action plans

  • Collaborate with Clinical Compliance and Data Compliance teams to ensure enterprise-wide alignment and integrity

  • Design and deliver compliance training and communication programs for employees across the organization

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving healthcare laws, regulations, and industry guidance impacting compliance programs

  • Perform Bona Fide Service Fee (BFSF) assessments and conflicts of interest reviews

  • Review and assess external funding requests and fee-for-service engagements

  • Monitor compliance metrics and lead reporting to senior leadership and regulatory agencies

  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical, Technology, Operations, and Corporate Services teams

This position requires a deep understanding of key healthcare laws and regulations, including but not limited to:

  • OIG/DOJ Guidance

  • Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act

  • Anti-Kickback Statute

  • False Claims Act

  • Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA)

  • Sunshine Act and related transparency laws

  • HIPAA compliance requirements

  • Familiarity with financial, advertising, and other marketing compliance regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field, or Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • 7+ years of experience in legal and/or in-house compliance, preferably within digital health, provider organizations, med tech, or pharmaceutical industries

  • Demonstrated organization-wide experience developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures

  • Experience conducting compliance audits, risk assessments, and/or investigations

  • Experience leading or supporting promotional review processes

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment

  • Willingness to travel as needed (~10%)
