Director of Human Resources (LTC)
Located in Mountainside, NJ
Salary: $100K - $120K; Based on previous experience
Qualifications of the Director of Human Resources:
- Must have prior HR experience in a long-term care/nursing home setting
- Must be computer savvy
- Must have ability to ensure all required documents and current licenses are obtained and filed in accordance with all third-party regulations
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred
Responsibilities of the Human Resources Director:
- As the Human Resources Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR department, including employee relations, workers compensation, and talent management
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company standards
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans
- Oversee the recruitment and on-boarding process, including utilizing applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Taleo
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive offerings and compliance with budgeting guidelines
- Collaborate with managers to develop succession planning strategies for key positions within the organization
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems such as Workday
- Manage workers compensation claims process, including working with insurance providers and ensuring timely resolution
- Provide guidance and support to managers on HR-related matters, including performance management and disciplinary actions
- Lead program management initiatives to improve HR processes and enhance employee experience
