SUMMARY:
Manage the day-to-day human resource functions of the Credit Union. Remain current on state and federal employment laws and regulations to ensure Credit Union policies and HR programs are in compliance. Participate in developing Support Department goals and targets. Provide staff and managers with an effective resource for resolution to employee relations issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and administer various human resources plans and procedures for the Credit Union. Keep abreast of changing trends or regulations and react quickly to incorporate those changes into the Credit Union.
· Develop and implement and employee engagement and recognition program to continue to foster a positive employee moral and work environment
· Implement and annually update compensation program, rewrite job descriptions as necessary, conduct and review annual salary surveys, develop salary budget, examine compensation, and monitor performance evaluation program and revise, as necessary.
· Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures. Prepare and maintain an employee handbook on policies and procedures as well as the Human Resources Policy Manual. Provide guidance on managing to, and staying compliant with, policies.
· Perform benefits administration to include managing new hire and annual open enrollment process, claims resolution, status changes, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness, and providing/verifying information requested for accuracy.
· Manage and maintain company 401K program. Provide information to eligible employees, review employee information and hours on a routine basis to monitor for accuracy and eligibility.
· Manage company learning management system. Assure new hire employees are assigned appropriate training and administer annual employee training as scheduled. Verify and maintain record of completion of all regulatory and required trainings.
· Ensure timely review and renewal of Bureau of Workers’ Compensation policies, unemployment claims, and other HR compliance matters.
· Work with hiring managers to hire top talent and promote ASECU. Create effective advertising strategies, utilize Internet resources, and interview and evaluate candidates. Monitor effectiveness of recruitment and coach managers in the process.
· Conduct new-employee orientations; monitor career path programs; provide employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
· Administer the Credit Union’s training program by creating and/or coordinating presentations and presenting programs.
· Assess the Credit Union’s training needs with input from managers and staff.
· Establish and maintain department records and reports. Participate in support staff meetings and attend other meetings, such as seminars. Maintain Credit Union organization charts and employee directory.
· Prepare and forward employee appraisal forms to supervisors for completion; record, file and follow up on return of completed appraisal forms.
· Collaborate with managers to support HR functions as needed.
· Facilitate corrective action procedures in accordance with policy.
· Perform payroll procedures including, but not limited to, entering payroll date and processing time cards, as well as other payroll functions.
· Monitor the payroll data for accuracy for each payroll.
· Manage employee data and monitor employee files, including medical leave, sick leave, vacation, benefits, promotions, and terminations. Ensure that documentation trails are complete and up to date.
· Prepare payroll reports on leave, sick time, and vacation usage.
· Make salary adjustments online as directed by the President/CEO.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY:
· Knowledge of all ASECU products and services (consumer and business).
· Knowledge of financial services industry.
· Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations.
· Skill in problem solving.
· Skill in basic mathematical computations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages.
· Ability to use mathematical formulas for specific calculations.
· Ability to effectively use oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to deal with others with courtesy, tact, and effectiveness.
· Ability to receive and maintain confidential information.
· Ability to use PC, computer applications (Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office products), and general office equipment.
· All computer runs, reports, and data must be completed accurately, on time, and in the format that is most useful and useable to management.
· Professional in appearance and attitude.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
