The IT Director is responsible for leading and governing the organization’s information technology function, ensuring that systems, infrastructure, and digital services effectively support business objectives and operational continuity. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, focusing on reliability, security, scalability, and continuous improvement of technology capabilities.
This position works closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders to align technology initiatives with organizational priorities while ensuring cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities

Define and execute a forward-looking IT roadmap aligned with corporate strategy, growth plans, and operational requirements.

Translate business needs into effective technology solutions, platforms, and architectures that enable efficiency and scalability.

Lead planning, delivery, and oversight of enterprise systems, infrastructure, networks, and end-user services.

Ensure high availability, performance, resilience, and security of all IT services and platforms.

Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance.

Oversee information security, data protection, access controls, and risk mitigation measures across the organization.

Own the IT budget, ensuring disciplined financial management, value optimization, and transparent cost control.

Lead vendor and partner relationships, including selection, contract negotiation, performance management, and renewals.

Sponsor and govern major IT initiatives and transformation programs, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines, scope, and budget.

Drive change management and adoption to maximize business value from technology investments.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on technology risks, opportunities, and investment decisions.

Ensure effective service delivery, including user support, incident management, and continuous service improvement.

Maintain robust business continuity, disaster recovery, backup, and system resilience arrangements.

Lead, develop, and motivate IT management and technical teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and capability growth.

Support talent planning, succession, training, and performance management within the IT function.
Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.

Significant experience in enterprise IT leadership roles, including senior-level responsibility for technology operations and delivery.

Strong background in IT governance, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and service management within complex environments.

Proven experience managing budgets, large vendor ecosystems, and organization-wide technology initiatives.

Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management capabilities.
