Director of Information Technology

PeerSource is currently recruiting for a Director of IT on a Direct Hire basis. This role can be based out of Tigard or Portland, OR.

Summary

We are seeking a Director of IT to lead enterprise technology strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and systems operations for a growing multi-site organization. This executive-level role will guide modernization initiatives, support major distribution center transformation efforts, and ensure secure, scalable, and reliable technology across the business. The ideal candidate brings strong business acumen, technical leadership, and the ability to align IT investments with operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization’s IT, cybersecurity, governance, and risk management strategy.
• Lead and mentor the technology team, driving accountability, responsiveness, and strong support for operational users.
• Support automated distribution center initiatives, including warehouse management systems, automation platforms, infrastructure, and systems integration.
• Partner with executive leadership on technology investments, modernization efforts, and long-term strategic planning.
• Oversee enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, Microsoft 365 technologies, networking, telecommunications, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Manage vendor relationships, technology contracts, budgets, and service delivery to ensure strong operational and financial outcomes.
• Lead enterprise technology projects and change initiatives that improve scalability, efficiency, security, and business performance.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of progressive IT, infrastructure, information security, and business systems (ERP) experience, including 5+ years leading a technology organization.
• Experience supporting complex, multi-site operations and aligning technology strategy with business objectives.
• Strong knowledge of management information systems, financial management, software applications (Epicor or other manufacturing software preferred), networks, and supervisory practices.
• Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft 365, cloud environments, networking, cybersecurity, and data governance.
• Experience supporting warehouse management systems, automation platforms, systems integration, or distribution center technology initiatives.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
