Director of Infrastructure

Key Responsibilities


• Lead, direct, and oversee the department’s operations, ensuring operational efficiency, quality of deliverables, and achievement of departmental objectives.

• Align departmental activities, priorities, and resources with organizational goals and strategic direction.

• Develop and monitor departmental plans, reports, budgets, and performance objectives to ensure effective execution and accountability.

• Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational requirements to support current and future business needs.

• Review, approve, and prioritize projects, studies, and technical initiatives within the department, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

• Manage the allocation and utilization of consultants, contractors, and specialized resources to optimize delivery capacity and project outcomes.

• Monitor the progress of departmental initiatives, assignments, and action plans to ensure timely completion and quality execution.

• Review and approve key departmental deliverables, technical reports, studies, assessments, and recommendations.

• Lead talent management activities, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, coaching, succession planning, and employee development.

• Establish and monitor departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), identify improvement opportunities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Ensure proper documentation, records management, and maintenance of departmental reports, studies, technical documents, and project information.

• Contribute to long-term infrastructure planning and capacity assessments to support organizational growth and operational requirements.

• Participate in cross-functional technical committees, working groups, and strategic initiatives related to infrastructure development and optimization.

• Develop and implement strategies, frameworks, and plans to ensure the availability, reliability, and sustainability of infrastructure assets and services.

• Identify and mitigate operational and infrastructure-related risks while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and governance requirements.


Qualifications


• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field.

• Master’s degree in Engineering Management, Business Administration (MBA), Project Management, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Minimum of 8years of relevant experience in infrastructure planning, engineering, utilities, capital projects, asset management, or related fields.

• Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

• Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PMI-PMOCP, PE, PRINCE2, Asset Management, or equivalent are preferred.
