Director of Instructional Technology & Data

About the Role: The Director of Instructional Technology & Data oversees district-wide data management, reporting, and instructional technology systems to support student learning and staff effectiveness. This position serves as Chief Information Officer and a key partner in using data to drive educational goals.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Data Leadership:

• Serves as Chief Information Officer; oversees the student information system; ensures timely, accurate reporting to NYSED; and manages compliance with state and federal requirements.

Instructional Technology:

• Leads the adoption and use of instructional technology platforms; guides development of the K-12 Instructional Technology Curriculum; and ensures technology supports classroom instruction and district goals.

Staff Training & Support:

• Provides training and technical assistance to administrators, teachers, and staff; supports professional learning communities with data analysis; and troubleshoots database and platform issues.
• Conducts classroom observations and provides instructional feedback to teachers.

Assessment & Reporting:

• Oversees all aspects of NYS assessments, including test administration, supervision of assessment platforms, and coordination of scoring.
• Generates reports for the Superintendent, Board of Education, and accountability purposes.

Commitment & Collaboration:

• Facilitates and leads the District's Technology Committee;
• Serves on various District committees and actively supports the District's mission;
• Works collaboratively with District leadership, administrators, teachers, and staff to promote effective use of data and technology; and
• Demonstrates a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the role.
