Position Summary

The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to significantly increase engagement and grow the census of individuals served across all programs. This role will focus on building a compelling brand narrative, improving digital presence, nurturing referral partnerships, and optimizing marketing campaigns that resonate with families, healthcare partners, and supporters. The ideal candidate combines data-driven marketing expertise with deep empathy for mental health and peer support values.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and lead a results-oriented marketing plan aligned with census growth objectives across regions and service lines.

  • Implement multi-channel campaigns (digital, social, email, print, events, etc.) to drive enrollment and referrals.

  • Collaborate with leadership to align marketing initiatives with business development and program expansion goals.

Brand & Communications

  • Strengthen and refine the organization’s brand identity, messaging, and positioning in the mental health and peer support space.

  • Oversee content creation, storytelling, and campaigns that destigmatize mental health and highlight the power of peer support.

  • Serve as a brand ambassador across internal and external communications.

Partnership Marketing

  • Support the growth of referral pipelines by creating marketing materials for healthcare providers, payers, and community organizations.

  • Partner with Business Development and Clinical teams to create marketing assets that speak to diverse stakeholder needs.

Digital Marketing & Analytics

  • Oversee website optimization, SEO, SEM, and social media strategies to improve visibility and user conversion rates.

  • Use analytics tools to track campaign performance and adjust strategies for maximum ROI and census impact.

  • Lead CRM and email marketing strategies to improve engagement and retention.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record in healthcare, behavioral health, or mission-driven organization—experience with census growth or client acquisition is highly preferred.

  • Strong grasp of digital marketing tools, CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), analytics, and SEO best practices.

  • Exceptional storytelling, branding, and communication skills, with a keen eye for design and emotional resonance.

  • Deep understanding of mental health, peer support, or adjacent fields (e.g., substance use, social work) is a significant plus.

  • Strategic thinker who is also hands-on, adaptable, and driven by outcomes.
