Position Summary
The Director of Marketing & Creative Content is responsible for creating and executing creative content, digital media, and marketing materials that support Omaha Athletics’ external operations initiatives. This position assists with marketing campaigns, fan engagement efforts, social media content, videoboard elements, and promotional storytelling while helping enhance the overall brand presentation of Omaha Athletics.
This role works closely with the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing & Productions to support marketing initiatives, game presentation efforts, creative campaigns, and digital engagement strategies across all athletic programs. The position is responsible for producing graphics, videos, motion graphics, social content, and promotional assets while collaborating with communications, ticketing, sponsorships, and sport programs to support attendance growth, fan engagement, and revenue generation initiatives.

Job Duties

Responsibility Area:
Creative Content Production

Duties:
  • Create graphics, videos, motion graphics, and digital assets for Omaha Athletics marketing and promotional efforts.
  • Produce creative content for social media, videoboards, digital campaigns, and in-game presentations.
  • Assist in the development of storytelling initiatives that highlight student-athletes, coaches, and departmental achievements.
  • Maintain creative consistency and brand standards across all content platforms.

Marketing Campaign Support

Duties:
  • Assist with the execution of marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives for athletic events and special projects.
  • Develop digital and print promotional materials to support ticket sales, fan engagement, and revenue generation efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing and ticketing staffs on campaign execution and promotional timelines.
  • Assist with fan engagement initiatives and promotional activations.

  • Assist in creating and scheduling social media and digital content across Omaha Athletics platforms.
  • Support digital engagement strategies and promotional messaging efforts.

  • Collaborate with communications staff to support cohesive digital storytelling efforts.

  • Assist with script preparation, music coordination, and game-day content execution.

Required Education

Required Experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in creative content production, athletics marketing, digital media, or multimedia production.
  • Experience creating graphics, videos, and social media content.
  • Experience working in collegiate athletics or live event environments.

Preferred Education
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, multimedia production, sports management, related field or equivalent experience.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, videoboard systems, and social media management platforms.
  • Knowledge of photography, motion graphics, and video editing workflows.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a creative and fast-paced environment.
