Job Purpose :

The Clinical Operations Director represents the Medical Affairs administration in the day-to-day operations of the clinical areas to ensure high quality medical care is provided to all patients in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner. The Clinical Operations Director is expected to facilitate the logistics and work dynamics to be more effective and efficient, and exercise initiative in prioritizing conflicting work demands and effectively communicating with stakeholders and related departments to ensure achieving excellence in patient care. He/she will be deeply involved in all clinical projects, initiatives and improvement of internal processes.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Executive Director Medical Affairs to address physician and patient care issues.
  • Assists the Executive Director Medical Affairs with budget preparation and review.
  • Suggests and implements approved action plans to ensure achievement of objectives, and delivery of efficient, high quality patient care services in line with KAAUH’s strategic plan
  • Ensures (in liaison with heads of departments) the implementation the roles and the regulations to smoothen the daily hospital operation.
  • Assists the heads of clinical departments to ensure better utilization and growth of related clinical services.
  • Liaise with all related administration to ensure safe and effective operation
  • Liaise with patient experience department and quality/patient safety department to solve any issues related to medical affairs and improvement plans.
  • Available for consultation and responsible for ensuring safe, professional delivery of care.
  • Maintains proper communication and good working relationships are maintained with other departments
  • Participates actively in local and international accreditation processes and ensure that standards are maintained as required by CBAHI and JCI.
  • Participates in the development and review of regulatory documents (IPP/APP) associated with Medical Affairs.
  • Prepare statistical reports as required.
  • Respects patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture.
  • Participates in and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities as an individual or as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Performs other job related duties, as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Minimum or Required:

-Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare profession (i.e. Nursing, Pharmacy) or any related field. with 10 years of Experience.

- Master Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare profession (i.e. Nursing, Pharmacy) or any related field. with 8 years of Experience.
