Director of Nursing - Orchard Heights

We’re hiring a passionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team and ensure the highest standards of care in our assisted living community.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the nursing department, including staff supervision, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company regulations for assisted living and healthcare.
• Develop and implement care plans tailored to residents’ needs while promoting independence and well-being.
• Lead, mentor, and coach nursing staff to deliver exceptional resident-centered care.
• Collaborate with physicians and families to support residents’ health and quality of life.
• Monitor clinical outcomes, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Participate in the recruitment, training, and retention of nursing staff.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in NYS preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing leadership experience (assisted living or long-term care preferred).
• Strong knowledge of assisted living regulations, compliance, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate, resident-focused approach to care.

What We Offer:

• Competitive salary ($95,000-$105,000/yr) BOE
