Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team and uphold the highest standards of resident care across our healthcare facilities. Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership for nursing staff across all shifts, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individualized care plans for residents, ensuring they meet medical needs and personal preferences.
  • Supervise nursing administration functions including documentation review, medical records management, and compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect resident privacy.
  • Manage staffing schedules, shift assignments, and resource allocation to ensure optimal coverage and quality care delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to federal and state regulations such as Medicare guidelines, licensing requirements, and accreditation standards related to assisted living, nursing homes, home health, hospice care, and acute care settings.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, therapists, social workers, and administrative staff to coordinate comprehensive resident care.
  • Oversee the use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and efficient data management.
  • Conduct regular audits of medical records and documentation review processes to maintain compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead quality assurance initiatives focused on improving resident outcomes through data analysis and evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate ongoing staff training on medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, nursing best practices, HIPAA compliance, and emerging healthcare trends.
  • Monitor resident safety protocols including fall prevention, infection control measures, and emergency response procedures.
  • Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations affecting Medicare reimbursement policies and licensing standards to ensure ongoing compliance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes with demonstrated expertise in nursing management or administration.
  • Extensive background in home health or hospice care is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of acute care settings with familiarity in managing complex medical cases.
  • Demonstrated supervising experience with a track record of effective nurse management and team development.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and EHR platforms for documentation review and medical records management.
  • Deep understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge necessary for overseeing clinical practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and security of protected health information (PHI).
  • Familiarity with care plan development aligned with regulatory standards such as Medicare requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48.00 - $57.00 per hour
