We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Nursing (DON) to lead nursing operations in a Skilled Nursing Facility in San Rafael, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all nursing operations within the Skilled Nursing Facility
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory nursing standards
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff including RNs, LVNs, and CNAs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapy, physicians, and administration
• Monitor patient outcomes and implement strategies to improve quality of care
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and departmental budgets
• Lead staff development, training, and performance evaluations

Qualifications

• Active California RN License in good standing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of leadership experience in a SNF or long-term care setting
• Prior experience as DON, Assistant DON, or Nurse Manager preferred
• Strong leadership, regulatory, and operational management skills
• Knowledge of CMS, Medicare, and SNF compliance standards
