Director of Operations

Tacoma Roofing & Waterproofing, a well-established commercial and residential roofing contractor, has an immediate opportunity for a dynamic Director of Operations, who is passionate about the industry and our company culture as well as excited to be part of a continuously growing business. Key Responsibilities

• Lead by Example: Inspire and guide our team to meet and exceed project goals. Supervise Project Managers, Safety Director, Superintendents, and Foremen.
• Ensure Quality and Safety: Maintain high standards on all job sites, ensuring safety protocols and quality control measures are followed
• Manage Project Timelines and Budgets: Drive projects to completion on time, within budget, and surpassing customers’ expectations
• Foster Team Unity: Cultivate a positive and efficient work environment that encourages collaboration and effort
• Customer Service Excellence: Provide exceptional customer service and manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction
• Utilize Software for Accurate Financials: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information in our project management and accounting software

Requirements

• Five years minimum of commercial roofing management experience with emphasis on all facets of the business, including but not limited to customer relations, extensive knowledge of roofing and waterproofing materials, installation techniques, manufacturer specifications, building codes, and project management
• Exceptional leadership skills, including coaching our staff to be efficient, productive, and effective
• Passion for and prior successful history of building high performing teams
• Strong attention to detail
• Outstanding planning & organizational skills: problem identification/resolution, prioritizing, multi-tasking, a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks promptly, and commitment to pursue delegated tasks to completion
• Excellent ability to communicate well, both written and orally

Additional Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations for all divisions, including: roofing, waterproofing, service/repairs, sheet metal fabrication, and sheet metal installation
• Review contracts and purchase orders to verify intended scope of work, manufacturer specifications, building codes, and to assure that company policies are not compromised
• Submit budget and capital expenditure requests as needed
• Address customer questions, complaints, and requests appropriately, professionally, and promptly
• Assist Upper Management in the development of strategic plans for operations
• Hire, train, and manage the Production Team, including Superintendents, Foremen, Crew Members, Drivers, and Facilities Maintenance Staff
• Be willing to start early and work late as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $175,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
