Essential Functions


The Director of Partnerships plays a key leadership role within the Enrollment Management division at The University of Texas Permian Basin, responsible for managing and expanding school-based partnerships that drive enrollment, retention, and student success. This includes oversight of the University’s Dual Credit program, community college pathway agreements, and specialized collaborations with independent school districts (ISDs). Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director serves as a strategic connector between university departments and external partners, ensuring smooth operations, compliance, and growth across all partnership initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management, communication, and relationship-building skills to support UTPB’s mission of increasing access and opportunity for students across Texas.

1. Coordinate with a wide variety of university offices—including Institutional Research, Academic Affairs, Student Success, and Student Affairs—to ensure the successful administration of dual credit programs and other partnerships.

2. Collaborate with academic departments and colleges to provide courses in response to on-campus and off-campus partner needs.

3. Implement marketing and promotional strategies to increase participation in partnership programs.

4. Oversee admission, registration, and orientation support services for students, parents, faculty, and regional partners.

5. Ensure dual credit and partnership programs are administered in accordance with all University, State, and Federal rules and regulations.

6. Create systems to track and document compliance with dual credit guidelines and adapt to changing technologies and delivery methods.

7. Collaborate with administrators, faculty, and staff to provide consistent, student-focused service across all partnerships.

8. Track partnership activity for project management and coordinate updates with the AVP for Enrollment Management’s office.

9. Develop and deliver reports, proposals, presentations, training sessions, and professional development programs for on- and off-campus stakeholders.

10. Partner with Marketing and Communications to develop and execute effective recruitment and marketing strategies for partnership programs, including publications, web content, and outreach campaigns.

Required Qualifications


1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
2. Three (3) years of supervisory, leadership, or project management experience.
3. Proven experience in partnership management, enrollment services, or academic program coordination.
4. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects with attention to detail.
5. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database applications related to student information or CRM systems.
7. Ability to travel extensively within Texas and work evenings or weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications


1. Master’s degree in Education, Higher Education Administration, Business, or a related field.
2. Experience with dual credit programs, transfer pathways, or institutional partnership development.
3. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
4. Familiarity with advising, degree mapping, and CRM tools.
5. Strong public speaking, presentation, and community engagement skills.
6. Demonstrated commitment to student access and success aligned with the University’s mission.

Schedule

Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 – 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some departments.


Standard Working Conditions

1. Able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
2. Able to bend, crouch, and reach continuously.
3. Physically able remain seated, frequently to continuously.
4. Able to remain standing up to 15% of the time.
5. Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform job duties including extensive keyboard work, operating office equipment, performing filing, and other job-related responsibilities that include extensive wrist and hand movement.
