Director of Photography/Editor + Website Management @ Music E-commerce shop

Retro Gear Shop is a hiring for a Director of Photography / Editing to handle the photography of music equipment , editing of photos and uploading to our website along with product and inventory management. Secondary tasks include some occasional video work and limited social media tasks. We are a boutique music store / ecommerce business located in South Nashville neighborhood with a small dedicated team focused on high quality service. This position will be working with the team daily along with regular communication with the company owner.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Taking photographs of equipment
  • Editing photos with Adobe Photoshop
  • Uploading finished photos to store's website as new products for sale
  • Data entry
  • Inventory management
  • Daily social media duties with Instagram (minimal, 20 - 30 minutes per day)
  • Receiving incoming shipments
  • Occasional customer outreach/customer service
  • Minimal loading/unloading equipment from trucks

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Positive attitude
  • 1-year Required experience with operating DSLR cameras
  • 1-year Required experience with Adobe Photoshop
  • Preferred but not required experience with video editing platforms like Final Cut Pro
  • Required excellent computer skills (hotkeys and Apple Mac platform)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Proficient with Google Docs, Excel Sheets
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Experience with Ebay/Shopify is a plus but not required
  • Familiarity with recording equipment/musical instruments is a plus but not required

Education and Experience:
Previous experience in photography and photo editing encouraged. We will provide training.

Bi-lingual Spanish proficiency speakers a plus.

Pay and hours:
Starting pay during training period is $17/hr with a raise to $20/hr within 6 months depending on results. Hours are based on workload. Flexible work schedule, estimate starting at 20 - 25 hours per week but eventually could be 20 - 40 hours per week. Hours are not guaranteed and can vary depending on company needs.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
