Director of Procurement and Strategic Sourcing (Boston HQ)

WinnCompanies is looking for a Director of Procurement and Strategic Sourcing to join our corporate office located in Boston, MA.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to mold this critical function to meet current and future needs. A key component of this role is to build and manage long-term, mutually beneficial vendor relationships that drive value and support the company's mission and values. This includes acting as a strategic partner with both Executives and Operational teams across the company to work on supplier selection, developing and negotiating contracts and enforcing terms.

The salary range for this role is $175,000.00-$185,000.00 per year plus an annual bonus up to 20%. The selected candidate will adhere to the following hybrid schedule (onsite 4 days per week): Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an enterprise-wide strategic sourcing and procurement framework based on best-in-class processes for the full vendor lifecycle; sourcing, qualification, selection, onboarding, performance management, and sunsetting.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select partners that are qualified to meet Winn's needs in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and innovation.
  • Serve as the top line escalation point for vendor issues.
  • Lead value initiatives across key spend categories.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that optimize cost, quality, and service.
  • Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions for the company in partnership with functional leaders and legal.
  • Develop and implement end-to-end procurement strategies and processes, including aligning procurement activities with the overall business goals and objectives.
  • Oversee procurement operations, ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with company policies and regulations and ensure that all procurement activities are conducted efficiently and effectively.
  • Own the regional/site level RFP/contracting process, review and update procedures in partnership with business stakeholders and legal
  • Conduct spend analysis across functional areas to gain a comprehensive understanding of spending patterns, supplier performance, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze procurement performance, develop and monitor operational KPIs to ensure vendor accountability and alignment with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within procurement operations.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in the strategic sourcing and procurement industry and share knowledge across the company
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 5-8 years of relevant work experience.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Past procurement experience leading a procurement department and function.
  • Prior experience with multifamily / property management or hospitality industry.
  • Real estate experience.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web based applications.
  • Ability to produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases.
  • Lead and direct multiple collaborative teams for large projects or groups both internal and external to the organization and across functional areas.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and staff training to meet customer service standards and expectations for the area(s) of responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Procurement and Supply Chain.
  • Experience creating/managing national procurement programs with at multiple locations.
