Director Of Projects - Site / Projects Director - Site

Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to project managers and teams.
  • Coordinate employees to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Supervise project managers and enable them to lead their own teams.
  • Lead and manage internal and external project resources.
  • Create team schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and ensure accountability.
  • Monitor and audit employee performance, set goals, and drive improvements.
  • Foster a positive work environment, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
  • Manage and resolve conflicts, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Lead project meetings to align teams and maintain high-quality standards.

Financial Oversight

  • Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring spending aligns with approved resources.
  • Address financial deviations or risks proactively.
  • Track project milestones and adjust schedules or resources as needed.
  • Present project updates and financial reports to executives, investors, and partners.
  • Devise cost-effective plans to ensure efficient project completion.

Client Relations & Stakeholder Management

  • Meet regularly with clients, stakeholders, and project managers to report progress.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Review, approve, or reject proposals based on project requirements.
  • Contract and coordinate with external agencies, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Construction Oversight

  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects, from planning to completion.
  • Develop detailed project schedules with task sequencing, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress, quality, and timelines to ensure objectives are met.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess work quality, safety, and compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials, subcontractor management, and workforce allocation.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, schedules, change orders, and as-built drawings.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure adherence to building codes, legal requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Secure all necessary permits and approvals before project execution.
  • Implement safety measures and risk management practices to prevent delays or reputational damage.
