The Director of Communications is a critical leader within Ashley Global Retail (AGR), responsible for shaping, executing, and elevating communications across both internal and external audiences. This role ensures AGR's voice is clear, consistent, and engaging-driving alignment with company priorities, enhancing team member engagement, and strengthening brand alignment across the Ashley licensee network.
The ideal candidate is an accomplished communicator capable of integrating strategic vision with operational execution. This individual will possess leadership skills to guide a team, while also demonstrating proficiency in content creation, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of AGR's communications through a period of organizational growth and transformation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and develop the AGR Communications team, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and high-quality execution across all initiatives
- Direct AGR team member communications by setting strategy, ensuring alignment with company culture and goals, and delivering clear, engaging messaging across platforms and events
- Serve as communications advisor to senior leaders, crafting executive messages, thought leadership content, and change management communications
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., Marketing, HR, Sales, Distribution, Licensee Operations) to ensure aligned and effective communications
- Own Licensee communications by developing and executing newsletters, SharePoint content, email campaigns, videos, and virtual/in-person events-ensuring consistent, professional communication for a senior executive audience
- Plan and deliver high-impact events such as summits, town halls, and gatherings that drive engagement and alignment
- Ensure consistency of brand and messaging across AGR internal and external-facing channels, protecting the integrity of Ashley's purpose and values
- Measure and improve communications effectiveness, leveraging metrics and feedback to continuously enhance engagement
- Stay current on tools and trends, introducing innovative communication practices that improve reach, clarity, and impact
