Director of Retail Marketing & Sales KSA (Luxury Beauty)

Our client, a globally recognised luxury beauty brand, is seeking a Director of Retail Marketing & Sales to lead the development and execution of its retail strategy across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


This is a highly strategic leadership role sitting at the intersection of commercial performance, brand visibility, and retail execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving growth across all retail channels while ensuring a consistent, elevated brand presence both in-store and online.


The role requires a strong commercial mindset combined with deep expertise in retail marketing, merchandising, and cross-functional leadership within a fast-paced, brand-driven environment.


Role Overview

As Director, Retail Marketing & Sales, you will take full ownership of retail channel performance across Saudi Arabia, leading the development of sales strategies, marketing activation plans, and merchandising direction to drive sustainable growth.


You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution across all touchpoints, from retailer partnerships and in-store experiences to digital platforms and integrated marketing campaigns.


Retail Sales Strategy & P&L Ownership


Develop and drive the retail sales strategy across all channels in KSA, with full accountability for performance and growth.

Build a deep understanding of channel performance, leveraging sales data, market insights, and competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Partner with planning teams to establish retail and net sales targets, continuously tracking and optimising performance against objectives.

Own and manage the marketing budget across channels, including forecasting, tracking spend, managing co-op investments, and ensuring alignment with business priorities.

Provide ongoing analysis and reporting on financial performance, identifying opportunities to maximise return on investment.


Retail Marketing Leadership


Own the full 360 retail marketing strategy across all channels, driving visibility, awareness, and conversion.

Develop integrated marketing plans encompassing in-store activations, digital campaigns, social media, retailer platforms, and events.

Ensure consistency and alignment across all marketing levers, creating a cohesive brand presence across both physical and digital environments.

Adapt global brand assets to meet local market and channel-specific needs, ensuring relevance while maintaining brand integrity.

Oversee the development and distribution of all marketing materials, including promotional assets, content, sampling strategies, and campaign support tools.

Analyse performance of marketing initiatives and retailer programs, using data-driven insights to refine and optimise future activity.

Lead negotiations with retail partners to secure premium brand visibility, product placement, and marketing support.

Drive execution excellence across all retailer activations, ensuring seamless delivery and strong post-campaign evaluation.

Own retailer relationships from a marketing perspective, including presentations, planning cycles, and ongoing engagement.

Maintain and communicate detailed marketing calendars across all stakeholders, ensuring alignment and visibility.

Monitor competitive activity across the market to inform strategy and identify opportunities.

Merchandising & Retail Excellence

Develop a strong understanding of product performance across channels, using insights to inform assortment and merchandising strategies.

Define in-store assortments by channel, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and brand positioning.

Drive e-commerce assortment and partner closely with retailer digital teams to optimise online merchandising and visibility.

Identify and secure opportunities for secondary placements and strategic merchandising initiatives.

Collaborate with product marketing teams to introduce new launches, exclusives, and product sets aligned with market demand.

Lead all visual merchandising initiatives from concept through execution, acting as the key liaison between internal teams, retail partners, and external vendors.

Ensure consistent execution of visual merchandising guidelines across all locations, maintaining a premium brand image.

Own the development, implementation, and ongoing management of planograms across all retail environments.


Cross-Functional Leadership

Act as a key partner to Sales and Education teams, ensuring alignment on priorities, calendars, and execution plans.

Collaborate closely with Brand Marketing and Creative teams to develop and deliver impactful marketing assets.

Ensure alignment across all channels to create a cohesive and complementary execution strategy.

Drive strong internal communication and collaboration to support efficient and effective execution across the organisation.


Candidate Profile

Extensive experience in retail marketing, sales, or commercial leadership within luxury beauty, cosmetics, or premium retail environments.

Proven track record of driving retail growth and managing complex, multi-channel operations.

Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and performance analysis.

Deep understanding of retail marketing, merchandising, and consumer engagement strategies.

Experience working closely with retail partners and managing high-level stakeholder relationships.

Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to influence, inspire, and align cross-functional teams.

Highly analytical with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Ability to operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
