Director of Retail Merchandising & Operations

Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven leader to oversee retail merchandising and operations. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, maximizing product visibility, and ensuring operational excellence across all retail channels. The Director of Retail Merchandising & Operations will combine merchandising strategy, vendor relations, and operational leadership to deliver profitability and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct merchandising initiatives to achieve revenue, margin, and product placement goals.
• Lead cross-functional teams in executing merchandising strategies, visual displays, and assortment planning.
• Oversee operational systems to ensure accurate inventory, efficient replenishment, and cost-effective processes.
• Build and maintain vendor partnerships, securing favorable pricing and contracts.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer insights to guide promotions and product mix decisions.
• Manage point-of-sale operations, financial reporting, and compliance standards.
• Mentor and develop staff, setting expectations for customer service, merchandising standards, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, or related field
• 8–10+ years of retail merchandising, operations leadership, or related experience.
• Strong skills in vendor negotiations, financial planning, and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems.
• Demonstrated success in managing teams, budgets, and large-scale retail projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
