Job Summary
The Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for leading all sales, marketing, and revenue-driving initiatives for DoubleTree by Hilton Nashua. This position develops and executes strategic sales and marketing plans to maximize group, transient, and catering revenue while strengthening the hotel’s market share within the Greater Nashua and Southern New Hampshire region.
This is a hands-on leadership role focused on proactive sales generation, prospecting new accounts, expanding existing relationships, and positioning the hotel competitively within its market. The Director will actively solicit new business through outside sales efforts, networking, lead generation, and strategic partnerships.
The Director of Sales & Marketing provides overall strategic direction for the Sales & Marketing department, overseeing revenue generation, digital marketing initiatives, brand positioning, public relations, and customer loyalty efforts while ensuring alignment with Hilton brand standards and ownership objectives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Revenue Generation
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue and market share goals.
- Prospect and secure new business through outside sales calls, networking, telemarketing, and industry events.
- Identify and pursue new group, corporate, association, SMERF, and social market opportunities.
- Actively manage and convert RFPs, leads, and inquiries in accordance with company response standards.
- Maximize meeting and banquet space utilization to drive group and catering revenue.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts while expanding new client partnerships.
- Conduct regular sales calls, site tours, and client meetings to generate new business.
Catering & Event Sales
- Solicit, negotiate, and book catering and banquet business including corporate meetings, social events, and weddings.
- Work with clients to detail event specifications including space requirements, timelines, menus, and event needs.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure successful execution of contracted events.
Strategic Planning & Market Positioning
- Analyze market trends, competitive performance, and economic conditions to adjust sales strategies.
- Develop pricing, positioning, and promotional strategies to maximize long-term market share.
- Work closely with revenue management to drive profitable demand and optimize channel mix.
- Analyze property performance against competitive set and identify opportunities to improve RevPAR index.
Marketing & Brand Management
- Oversee all marketing initiatives including digital marketing, advertising, promotions, and public relations.
- Ensure consistent brand positioning in alignment with Hilton brand standards.
- Lead development of creative marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
- Manage online presence including website strategy, social media efforts, and digital campaigns.
Budget & Financial Management
- Develop and manage the Sales & Marketing department budget.
- Monitor sales performance and expenses to ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Prepare and analyze sales reports, forecasting, and revenue pacing reports.
- Adjust sales strategies as needed to meet revenue targets.
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and development for the Sales team.
- Lead weekly sales meetings and strategy sessions.
- Set individual and team sales goals while monitoring performance metrics.
- Foster a collaborative working relationship with hotel leadership and operational departments.
Client Relations & Industry Engagement
- Represent the hotel at industry events, networking functions, and trade shows.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, local businesses, and community organizations.
- Identify strategic partnerships that increase hotel visibility and revenue opportunities.
Additional Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports including:
- Group pace reports
- Catering pace reports
- Pipeline reports
- Sales activity reports
- Marketing performance updates
- Participate in business review meetings with ownership and corporate leadership.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans.
- Identify new technologies or sales strategies to improve efficiency and revenue generation.
- Ensure timely responses to all client inquiries and RFPs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager or Corporate Director of Sales.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of hotel sales experience required
- Previous Director of Sales or senior hotel sales leadership experience preferred
- Experience with Hilton systems and brand standards strongly preferred

Pay: $95,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
